		<description>Not sure I buy the &quot;want to be worshiped&quot; argument. At least not any more than the pride any human experiences when they compare themselves with others (and think they come out better ;-). The kind of people who can win elections have to be able to put themselves out there. That takes a measure of what other people might call arrogance.  The idea that we &quot;may be punished along with them for taking their false gifts&quot; I think misses some important truths.&lt;br&gt;Romans 13:1, 14:14 and 1 Corinthians 8:1-6 argue that it is, as Christ said in Matthew 15,  what comes out of the man that defiles him, not what he receives. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;The gratitude part is right on IMO.</description>
